Chris Mashburn
Chris Mashburn co-founded in 2001, a large private commercial security firm and as President/CEO led the company’s growth to $50 million in revenue. To support expansion, he oversaw the development of corporate systems, instituted leadership and management training, built strong relationships with partners and government entities. His influence helped drive an increase in the company’s government contracting, expanded its presence in the airline industry and commercial security, plus led to full ISO 9000 compliance secret cleared facility.

Prior to started the firm, he served in the Texas Department of Public Safety for 20 years, retiring in 2004 with the rank of District Commander/Captain. A recognized worldwide expert in criminal and drug interdiction, he trained law enforcement personnel throughout North and South America.  While with DPS, Mr. Mashburn managed and supervised the Civil Disturbance Response Team overseeing riot and crowd control operations statewide, as well as Texas security management for protests and rallies at the State Capitol and sensitive properties and venues. 

Accomplishments at DPS include: obtained an Advanced Peace Officers Certificate, establish the Criminal Interdiction Training Program which is still being utilized today in Texas and across the country in multiple agencies. Served as Security Detail Leader for President George W. Bush during his first campaign,  and was later assigned to the Director’s Office of the State Police, serving as an Audit and Inspection Captain.

Mr. Mashburn is active in a number of professional organizations. He is the past chairman of the Texas Highway Patrol Association (THPA). He has served on the board of the State and Local Intelligence Council (SLIC). At the invitation of the U.S. Department of Justice/Civil Rights Litigations [division], Chris presented research and provided expert guidance regarding police involvement in the field of criminal interdiction and deception.
Mr. Mashburn completed, with honors, the prestigious 12-week management course at the University of Louisville, Southern Police Institute. He attended Tarleton State University and the University of Kentucky-Louisville.
Chief Executive Officer / Founder
Mike Carlisle
Michael joined the team after recently retiring from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after an extremely successful twenty two year career as a Special Agent.  During his tenure with the FBI, Michael worked domestically and internationally leading investigations in both Criminal and National Security domains.  Michael led the San Antonio Safe Streets Task Force which focused on the criminal activity of violent prison/street gangs which were rampant in Texas at the time.  Michael led successful prosecutions which included domestic terrorists, prison gangs, complex white collar crime, and corruption of public officials.  Michael has hundreds of hours of testimony in Federal and State court and has been certified and a subject matter expert in Federal Court with a specialty in prison based gangs.

Michael was a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics team and obtained his SWAT certification.  As part of this role, he provided force protection for dignitaries such as the US Attorney General and FBI Director both in the U.S. and abroad.  Michael has been involved in multiple active shooter trainings and has been a first responder in multiple active shooter situations.

Michael joined a multi-agency counter IED taskforce in Kabul Afghanistan at the height of that conflict.  Michael worked against both military and civilian agency personnel to stop the production of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and suicide vests and to disrupt support and supply capabilities to these bomb-makers.  Michael received the Combat Theater Award for his efforts in Afghanistan.

Michael is a graduate of the Department of Defense’s National Center for Credibility Assessment course which is required to be a Federal Polygraph Examiner.  As a polygraph examiner, Michael has conducted hundreds of polygraph examinations in both criminal and administrative matters.  Many of those polygraphs have resulted in confessions and eventual conviction of those subjects.

Prior to joining the FBI, Michael was in executive management at USF&G Insurance Company in the Property and Casualty/small business division.  Michael did extensive work in hurricane risk analysis and spread of risk related to storm damage.  Michael also managed a team responsible for a $165 million book of personal lines and small business across 8 states.  Michael is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management.

Mark Rankin
​​Mark Rankin operates Rankin Holdings as an investor and entrepreneur based in Austin, Texas.  Mr. Rankin currently serves on the executive management teams for Edmunds.com, Scout Automotive and Dealer HQ as well as serving as an advisor to several automotive data and software companies.  To each project, Mr. Rankin brings over 25 years of technology, operations, marketing, sales and finance experience as well as a vast array of automotive and marketing contacts.
Prior to launching Rankin Holdings, Mr. Rankin served as CTO and COO for eLead CRM, Fresh Beginnings and ELEAD1 (commonly referred to jointly as eLead in the industry).  While with eLead, Mr. Rankin helped to increased operations from 600 stores to over 6,000 leveraging relationships with OEMs and the largest dealer groups.  Mr. Rankin developed the new, data-centric approach to customer engagement and management as well as new call center strategies, software and cost controls culmination in the country’s largest automotive-only call center and contracts with Asbury Automotive, Ford Direct, Hyundai, Nissan and others.  Mr. Rankin worked directly with dealers to deliver 18 major products to the automotive space increasing top line revenue by over 600% in 4 years. To this day, eLead continues to deliver best in class software and call center operations to dealers, consolidators and OEMs.
In 2001, Mr. Rankin joined American autoXchange (AAX) as CTO and worked to develop the business strategy and application systems that have led to aaXchange’s current product offerings.  Mr. Rankin has brought his thorough background in data modeling and mining to aaXchange as well as a strong technology team.  In 2002, Mr. Rankin wrote the software and patent that aaXchange uses to service over 2,000 dealers today.  In 2005, AAX was sold to JM Families as the cornerstone of their new startup, JM Solutions.
Prior to joining aaXchange, Mr. Rankin was Chief Technology Officer of United Airlines Silver Wings Plus and Vice President of Technology for Brierley & Partners.  Mr. Rankin has managed and contributed to a number of digital strategy engagements for the health care, business travel, leisure travel, communications, real estate, and home services industry including the overall technology strategy for the Star Alliance and Sony Rewards.  Mark has led digital strategy engagements involving business to business and business to consumer e-commerce design and enablement, Intranet/Extranet planning, vertical portal strategy, Internet implementation and organizational planning.  His experience includes evaluating business plans and feasibility for Internet initiatives, as well as evaluation of operational readiness to implement and support these initiatives. 
Mr. Rankin is an avid philanthropist and serves as a founding board member to Fashion 4 Compassion and Force 4 Compassion, two charities dedicated to supporting the victims of human trafficking.  Mr. Rankin is father to 4 fantastic children, a pilot and has served as Honorary Commander to the 28th Test and Evaluation Squadron, a unit of the 53rd Wing in Valparaiso, Florida.

Anna-Marie Gable
Anna-Marie Gable is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.A. in English and Professional Writing Certification.  She worked six years for a large non-profit supporting all aspects of marketing,  publications and web design.

After graduating from LeTourneau University with a MBA and emphasis on marketing she joined the Penfield's Office team as Director of Operations where she oversees management of all operational aspects of multi-state retail locations and marketing of the business.
In 2014, Anna-Marie joined the Capital Security Solutions team supporting operations, marketing and finance.

Argie Rumann, P.E.
Argie is a graduate of Texas A&M University in Aerospace Engineering with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and has received his P.E. license from the State of Texas. In his 31 years of experience he has provided his expertise as a senior engineering consultant and lead engineer at 5 NASA Space Centers: Johnson, Kennedy, Goddard, Langley, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Argie’s accomplishments include projects for the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and NASA, including the Space Shuttle, International Space Station, Hubble Space Telescope, and Mars Science Lab (Curiosity) Rover. For the past 7 years he has held a position as Program Manager and Chief Engineer of a $250M contract at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where he has lead as many as 125 direct reports whom he personally recruited, interviewed, and hired, in various engineering, science, and design disciplines serving more than 60 spacecraft and flight instruments for the US space program. For the past 16 years Argie has excelled at bridging the gap between science and engineering.

He has a multidimensional vision of how to join and potentiate disparate technologies and scientific discoveries to engineer unique solutions to technical challenges in and out of our world. He is a seasoned manager and contract negotiator. He is recognized as a passionate leader amongst his peers and a diplomat amongst his customers. Argie has significant experience working in many engineering disciplines, including electrical power systems, and has developed numerous engineering solutions as lead systems engineer.

Rafael specializes in mobile devices, embedded computer systems, wireless communications, visual computing and real-time controls. He focuses on creating innovative solutions to complex, large scale and high impact technological challenges.

He has previously worked for four years as a Software Engineer at Google in Mountain View, CA, where he acted as Tech Lead in the iOS Location Platform (Google Maps) team and as Information Security Engineer in Google's Mobile Security team. He worked and collaborated in mobile apps like Google Search, Google+, Google Photos, Google Hangouts, and Google Calendar. He's a graduate of Tecnológico de Monterrey with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
